The studio’s theme was “Music in Architecture“. In order to propose an architectural program, an analogy is created between musical and spatial production. Elements and gestures are defined to develop a notation representing the music park. Then this notation is used for composing the whole program. Spree Park in Berlin is an abandoned amusement park left unattended for over 12 years. This isolated area in the middle of the city is designated as a production and practice space for music-related artists. It became an oasis out of the tangled structure of a big city enabling a focused time for them.
